Anna's Fees & Rebates
NEW 2023 CLIENTS
All sessions are 60 mins long.
As a Full Member of the APS (Aust. Psychological Soc.) since 2004, it is recommended that psychologists like Anna charge $300 per 50mins, however... Anna feels that her discounted fee below, is more affordable in the current economic climate.
$220 for 60mins
ANNA'S FEE
(50mins Therapy + 10mins Admin)
Medicate Rebate = $92.90
(if you have a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral)
Out of Pocket = $127.10
Private Clients do NOT need a GP referral, but no Medicare rebate will be available - your Health Insurance my have a rebate though.
* Unfortunately no concession fees available.
GP MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT PLANS
If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (a type of referral) from your GP, you are provided with six $92.90 rebates (from Medicare), after full payment ($220) at the end of each session.
Medicare rebates are requested from Anna's computer, so no standing in line at Medicare to collect your rebate.
Initially Anna will be seeing you once a week for 2 weeks. There-after, sessions be fortnightly for about 3-4 sessions, after which they may be every 3 weeks or at longer intervals, as you learn to better manage you mental health.

Despite other commitments and emergencies, Anna has set aside 50 minutes of her time to support you and therefore is unable to provide another client with much needed help if you make late changes to your appointments.
Therefore, the following fees and notice periods apply to late-cancelled, rescheduled or missed sessions... only if the appointment cannot be filled in time.
Early changes:
$0: 3+ business days' notice
Late changes:
$55: 2 business days' notice
$110: 1 business days' notice
$220: Same day notice
AFTER HOURS FEES
Because Anna no longer works after 5.30pm,
there are no more after hours fees.

CARDS ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT

Anna's online billing system is able to process two brands of cards (VISA / MasterCard).
This includes only CREDIT and DEBIT cards.
If you have not already entered your card details when booking online, please bring your physical card (with CCV number) to your appointment, as no EFTPOS machine is involved and Anna has to manually enter your card details into her system for processing (only at the first session) after which your encrypted details are securely stored for any following session payments.
After full payment at the end of the session, Anna will process your rebate from her billing system, which is integrated with Medicare.
You do not have to go and stand in a queue at Medicare to be rebated.
You will be able to receive your rebate from Medicare within 24-48hrs into your nominated account.
Unfortunately, no cash payments are accepted due to security risks.
Bulk billing means that Medicare pays the rebate ($92.20) directly to Anna and hence there is no out of pocket for the client.
After more than 15 years of bulk billing, Anna no longer offers this form of payment.
However... returning clients (from before 2023) who were bulk billed in the past, are welcome to contact Anna for a personal chat about possible reduced fees on re-entering therapy.
